Q&A software

Question and answer software
for your customers

Customers ask in public. Your team answers once. The answer stays up for everyone who asks it next. Live in about five minutes, with nothing to install. $9 one time on a Forumcat subdomain, or $99 a month for your own domain.

This is a public, permanent Q&A archive for customers, not live polling for events.

Free for 7 days. No credit card. Live in about five minutes.

The parts

Everything a Q&A site needs, on day one.

A Q&A board on the front page, a Q&A app in the browser, and a Q&A site Google can read. One product, three names for it.

A Q&A board for customers

Every question on one page. Sort by newest or by votes. Solved questions carry a badge, so people can see what is answered.

Votes on questions and replies

One vote per person per post. Votes show you which questions many customers share, without anyone filing a report.

One accepted solution

The asker or your team marks the reply that worked. It pins under the question and the thread turns solved.

Search that works

Full-text search over every question, with stemming and ranking. Customers search without an account, and you get a log of what found nothing.

Categories and tags

One category per question, plus up to 3 tags from a list your team keeps. No free-for-all tag mess.

A Q&A app with nothing to download

The portal is a fast website. It works on a phone, and it works for someone who has never signed in.

The answer

One reply, marked as the answer.

A long thread is not much help to the person who lands on it from Google. So one reply gets accepted, and it sits right under the question.

demo.myforumcat.com/q/105
A solved question: the question at the top, the accepted solution pinned under it in a green block, and related questions in the sidebar.

Votes on the left, the accepted solution in green, related questions beside it. Nothing to set up for any of it.

Read by people and machines

Written for customers. Readable by AI engines.

Every answered question ships QAPage structured data, a sitemap entry, and a preview card in your brand.

Every thread is also served as a raw markdown document, front matter and all. AI engines and agents can read and cite the whole answer without scraping the page.

You do not configure any of this. It is on from the first question.

  • QAPage structured data on every answered question
  • A raw markdown view of every public thread
  • A sitemap and a robots file, generated for you
  • 1200x630 preview cards, in your colors and your logo

Capability

What a Q&A site needs, and what you get.

The parts are the product. Both plans get all of them. The plan changes the address and the caps, never the features.

What a Q&A site needsBasicPro
Questions with a title, markdown details and one category
Replies in one flat stream, never nested
Votes on questions and on replies
One accepted solution, pinned under the question
Up to 3 tags per question, from your own list
Full-text search over questions, with stemming and ranking
Related questions, and duplicate suggestions while typing
Private questions and private categories
QAPage structured data and a sitemap on every portal
A raw markdown view of every thread
REST API and MCP server
Up to 10 images on a question or a reply
Your own domain, with SSL set up for youNo

Basic runs on yourcompany.myforumcat.com. Pro adds your own domain and higher caps. Nothing in this list is sold as an add-on.

API and agents

REST and MCP, on every plan.

Every capability the dashboard has is a REST call with an OpenAPI spec. Each one is an MCP tool with the same name.

So your own agent can read new questions, draft a reply, and post it for a person to stand behind. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or something you wrote yourself.

There is no AI plan and no AI add-on. API keys carry a role and an optional read-only switch, and they work the same on both plans.

  • One MCP URL to paste into a hosted client, no key handling
  • API keys with a role, and a read-only switch
  • Every question and reply readable through the API

Connected agents: an app approved to answer over MCP, with the role it was given and no API key needed.

Browsing

Shelves customers can browse.

Categories give the portal a shape. Tags cut across it. Search covers every question, title and details.

demo.myforumcat.com/c/billing
A category page listing every question in one topic.

Each category is its own page with its own address, so a topic can rank on its own.

Why this exists

Answer once, help forever.

A support email helps one person. The same answer on a public page helps everyone who asks it next.

That is the answers page for customers your website is missing. Your team writes the reply one time, and links to it from then on.

You can build one, or switch one on. Building a Q&A site means sign-in, search, spam, moderation, structured data, and a server someone has to patch. Company Q&A software with all of that already in it starts at $9 one time.

Pricing

One flat price. No surprises.

Not per user. Not per question. Grow all you want, your bill stays the same. More traffic is good news, not a bigger bill.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they pick.

How fast can we be live?

Answer

About five minutes. Sign in, name your portal, and it is online at yourcompany.myforumcat.com. Nothing to install.

Is this live Q&A for a meeting or a webinar?

Answer

No. Tools like that collect questions during an event, and then the questions are gone. This is a permanent public archive on your own site, built to be found months later.

Do we have to host anything?

Answer

No. This is a hosted Q&A platform. There is no server to rent, no Docker, and no update day. Forumcat keeps it online.

Do customers need an account to read?

Answer

No. Reading and searching are open to everyone. Signing in is only for asking, replying, and voting, and it is passwordless.

Will the answers show up in Google and AI engines?

Answer

Every answered question becomes a fast public page with QAPage structured data, a sitemap entry, and a raw markdown view. That is what search engines and AI engines read.

Can our own AI agent use it?

Answer

Yes, on every plan: every capability is a REST call and an MCP tool. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your own agent can draft a reply for a person to post.

Does it work on our own domain?

Answer

Yes, on Pro. Point a subdomain like help.yourcompany.com at Forumcat and SSL is set up for you. Your Forumcat subdomain redirects to it.

Put your answers somewhere they keep working.

Create a portal, ask the first question yourself, and see how the page looks in about five minutes.
