Image library
Every image that ends up on your portal, question and reply attachments, member avatars, your forum logo, and your favicon, is kept in one place: the Image library. It exists so staff can see what has been uploaded without hunting through individual threads and profiles one at a time.
Like member management (see Manage members), the Image library lives on your dashboard. Open the Images page from the Content group in the dashboard sidebar.
Who can see it
Section titled “Who can see it”The Image library is open to owners, admins, and agents, the same group that moderates content and manages members. A Finance teammate, whose seat is billing-only, does not see it in the sidebar.
Browsing the library
Section titled “Browsing the library”Images show newest first. Each one shows the file name, its size, who uploaded it, and when. Use the type filter above the list to narrow it to just attachments, avatars, logos, or favicons. Click any thumbnail to open it full size.
If an image is attached to a question or a reply, or is currently serving as your forum’s logo, favicon, or a member’s avatar, that shows right alongside it, so you can see exactly where it’s being used without opening the delete confirmation.
Gallery or list, whichever you prefer. The toggle above the list switches between a grid of thumbnails (the default) and a compact table with one row per image; both show the same information and support the same actions, so it’s just a matter of preference. Pick how many images to show per page from the control next to it. Your browser remembers both choices for next time.
Deleting an image
Section titled “Deleting an image”Owners and admins (one step further restricted than browsing, agents can look but not delete) can remove an image from the library. Before you confirm, you’re shown exactly where it’s currently used: attached to a question or reply, or currently serving as your forum’s logo (in any of its light, dim, or dark variants), your favicon, or a specific member’s avatar.
Deleting is permanent, but it does not break anything. Each usage falls back cleanly instead of showing a broken image: a deleted logo reverts to your forum’s name and initial, a deleted favicon reverts to the default, and a deleted avatar reverts to that member’s initial. A deleted attachment simply disappears from the question or reply it was on; the text of the post is untouched. This is different from removing a question or reply through moderation: deleting an image here never touches the thread it was attached to, only the image itself. There is no undo, so if you want the logo, favicon, or avatar back, you’ll need to upload it again.
Deleting several images at once
Section titled “Deleting several images at once”Owners and admins can also select multiple images and delete them together. Check the box on each image you want to remove, whichever view you’re in, or check select all to grab every image on the current page. A running count of your selection appears above the list along with a Delete selected button.
Confirming shows the same information as a single delete, just combined: how many images you’re about to remove, and how many of them are currently in use as your forum’s logo, favicon, or a member’s avatar. The rest of the behavior is identical to deleting one at a time: it’s permanent, and each usage falls back cleanly rather than breaking anything. If an image in your selection was already removed by someone else, or on another tab, before you confirmed, it’s skipped rather than stopping the whole batch, and you’ll be told so.
